An idea from 1998
MapPlanet began as an idea in 1998. Back then, we wanted to create a digital world map where people from all over the world could make a little space their own.
Nearly three decades later, technology has changed completely. The original idea hasn’t.

On MapPlanet, you can make a little space on the world map your own. What you choose to share there is entirely up to you.
You can create up to four entries for free and edit them whenever you like.

On MapPlanet, entries appear next to each other because they’re geographically close, not because they share a topic.
The idea is for MapPlanet to become as colourful and varied as the world itself — a place to come across things you weren’t even looking for.
